5 Free Things to Do with Your Little Ones

Sometimes finding activities for your children can be tricky. Therefore, we took the liberty of putting together a handy list of things to do in Massachusetts. As an MTA member, you have access to many free activities, which can be found in the discounts section. After sifting through some amazing options, we chose five for you and your family to enjoy. All the activities on this list are free for MTA members; just remember to bring your MTA card! 

 

1.            Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum

Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum has officially been voted Massachusetts’ number one patriotic attraction. Round up the family and take a trip into Boston for this phenomenal multi-sensory experience! This museum has interactive exhibits, live actors and full-scale ship replicas. Visitors have been known to truly enjoy the quaint touches of the museum, and Abigail’s Tea Room stands as one of the most popular. 2.            Tower Hill Botanic Garden

Head over to Boylston for a relaxing day at Tower Hill Botanic Garden. Choose from activities such as Tai Chi, yoga, forest bathing, or crafting. Tower Hill Botanic Garden also has plant shows on a regular basis. During these plant shows, presenters give fun and educational information about the unique qualities of various plants. 3.            Fuller Craft Museum

Allow your little ones to discover their creative side at Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton! The museum offers exhibitions, collections, and interactive workshops for children. 4.            Harvard Art Museums

If you are an art connoisseur or just interested in dipping your feet into the art world, make your way to Cambridge for a day filled with sculptures, paintings and photographs. Harvard Art Museums also offers workshops, seminars and special events! Children under 18 get free admission to the museums. Visit www.harvardartmuseums.org to learn more.

 

5.            Heritage Museums and Gardens  

Make your way to Sandwich for a day of exhibits and gorgeous scenery! Heritage Museums offers a popular vintage carousel, an antique automobile collection and other unique exhibits. Once you and your family finish up at the museums, head over to the gardens for a dose of serenity. See what is in bloom at one or all of the gardens spread amongst 100 acres of greenery. The museums and the gardens will be open to the public on April 23, 2022. Children 2 and under get free admission. This is the perfect place to unwind and bask in nature with your little ones.
