Save on Fall Activities

Whether you’re in denial that summer has ended or excitedly consuming any pumpkin spice product you come across, fall is decidedly in full effect. One of the best things about living in New England is the wide variety of fall activities available. From leaf peeping to getting into the Halloween spirit with a day trip to numerous museums and attractions in Salem, there is something for everyone.

The New England Pirate Museum or the Salem Witch Museum in Salem are both mainstays to anyone visiting Salem. To avoid the crowds, head to Salem in early October or November, where the witching hour will be in full effect. Experience a historical or haunted ghost tour with Salem Historical Tours & Haunted Footsteps Ghost Tours and save $2 off a regularly priced ticket.

Clear your schedule on Saturday, October 9 for the Harvest Faire in Killington. Spend a whole day and enjoy fall in the mountains with amazing food, fun and games for the whole family to enjoy. Activities include pumpkin painting, horse drawn hay rides and apple launching. Try your hand at apple launching and you could win lift tickets for the upcoming winter season! Admission is free for Harvest Faire Activities.

On days when the weather is cooler, check out a museum! Travel to Cape Cod and visit the Winslow Crocker House in Yarmouth Port where MTA members receive 2-for-1 tour admission. Immerse yourself in the rich history of the eighteenth century in a home where each room is decorated with antique furniture and rich paneling. The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster offers members free admission. If you have little ones to entertain, visit the Cape Cod Children's Museum in Mashpee where the cost of admission is half off the regular price.

Or, head west for stunning fall foliage. Visit the Berkshire Theatre Group in Pittsfield where MTA members save 20% on a variety of shows. If you’re in Springfield save $2.50 on admission and head over to the Springfield Museums, including The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum, the Springfield Science Museum, the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum, the Lyman and Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield History and more!
