Management Staff

President
Constance T. Dery

Connie Dery has more than more than 40 years of insurance industry experience in sales, underwriting and management. As president of MTA Benefits, she is responsible to the MTA Board of Directors for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating all MTAB activities. Her responsibilities include the development of new programs, improvement of existing programs and negotiation of compensation plans with major MTAB partner/vendors. She also coordinates activities with NEA, trade associations and appropriate governmental regulatory personnel and policy makers. Prior to MTAB, she most recently served as vice president of the MOAC National Service Center in Denver, Colorado which services 48 states for ocean and inland marine exposures. Other experience includes serving as vice president with the Continental Insurance Company.

Manager of Insurance and Sales
Robert K. Wills

For more than 23 years, Robert Wills has assisted MTA members with their insurance needs. He manages the auto, homeowner and business owner programs, and oversees MTA's endorsed programs for life insurance, disability income insurance, long-term care insurance, and dental insurance and tax-sheltered accounts.




Marketing Manager
Maryann C. Robinson

Maryann Robinson brings an exceptional track record to MTA Benefits with 26 years of successful marketing, public relations and sales experience in the association and hospitality industries. As marketing manager, she is responsible for the planning, organizing and marketing of all member benefits, development of new programs, creation and distribution of the annual MTAB Discount Directory, Hotel Discount Directory, quarterly MTA Advantage, all print and electronic marketing campaigns, MTA Today advertising and the MTAB Web site. She sits on several MTA committees, serves as the Massachusetts contact for NEA Member Benefits board, and is on the executive committee of the National Economic Services Association.

Information Technology Manager
Lee Pevear

With more than 25 years of experience in information technology management, Lee Pevear offers strong credentials for her position with MTAB. As IT manager, she is responsible for all computer and telecommunications systems used by MTA Benefits, including maintaining and updating the Web site; managing the automatic telephone call distribution system, which routes member phone calls to the appropriate customer service representatives; maintaining the insurance agency management system, computer network, and telephone and voice mail systems; and developing and implementing new computer programs for servicing MTA members with their insurance and other benefits programs.

Manager Administration and Finance
Kevin C. Moschella

Kevin C. Moschella has managed the Division of Administration and Finance for more than 16 years. His responsibilities include providing financial reports, preparing the annual operating budget, overseeing all corporate investment vehicles, coordinating audits, coordinating purchase activities, presenting financial reports to the Board of Directors, and coordinating administration and clerical services with MTAB managers.

Insurance Operations Supervisor
Anne Donovan

Anne Donovan, who supervises the insurance division, has been with MTAB since 1999, has extensive experience and education in the areas of service and customer satisfaction. She has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and an Advanced Professional Certificate from Sawyer School of Management, Suffolk University, In addition, she regularly attends insurance-related seminars. Her responsibilities include overseeing and integrating the objectives of the three departments in the insurance division.

Assistant to the President
Barbara DePesa

Barbara DePesa brings a wealth of administrative experience to her current position. Her responsibilities include assisting the president in carrying out the duties of the office and handling confidential matters related to personnel, collective bargaining, labor relations, and compensation. As assistant clerk of the corporation, she records the minutes of the Board of Directors meeting, management meetings, and handles special projects as assigned. Prior to joining MTA Benefits, she served as personnel administrator, responsible for recruiting and managing a staff of 75, developing professional training programs, and coordinating work projects and special assignments.
