Connections Home

The Hanover recently introduced Connections® Home, a simple and comprehensive insurance program available to MTA members who are home or condo owners.

Members can choose the type of Connections Home coverage that best suits their needs and budget and can have everything covered with just one policy.

The Basic Homeowners policy covers the following: the home (for most common causes of loss), other structures on the property, personal belongings, liability claims and medical payments to others.

Select Coverage includes Basic level coverage plus extended dwelling replacement cost, personal property replacement cost with no deduction for age or condition, refrigerated products loss and lock replacement. In addition, higher policy limits apply to many coverages.

Select Plus offers all the coverages of the Select level and adds the following: water back-up and sump overflow (for property losses and clean-up costs resulting from sump overflow or water backing up through sewers or drains), personal injury such as invasion of privacy and wrongful eviction, and identity fraud. In addition, it increases policy limits for 18 coverages.

Select Premium is the premier coverage package that goes beyond Select Plus with more coverages and policy payment limit increases. Coverage highlights include a waiver of deductible for loss to the home exceeding $50,000 and special personal property coverage for such items as misplaced jewelry and breakage of fragile items not covered in standard policies.
